Supersize me? (4)

I just remembered the movie "Supersize Me" that I have watched during Health class in Middle School. It has been interesting to find all the history and good impact that hamburger made in America as an Icon, but I do not recall any issues drawn to health concerns. While I continue reading the book, I will try to find anything that discusses nutrition more in dept.

  1. I definitely remember watching this movie in Middle School during phys-ed class. The best part was definitely when Morgan Spurlock says,"This is the best part of the day, when I get to be fat, on the bed, with my quart of Coke." It's fascinating to see that just eating your favourite food or being lazy can make oneself happy. Just like how MLK Jr. believed that racial equality would make him happy, and therefore he worked towards what made him happier day by day.
Good job Cyndy, your blog is definitely making me hungry ! :P

  2. All your posts are really interesting in that it provides another perspective on the history and American cultural meaning of the hamburger. I was really intrigued by the fact how your book didn't address any health concerns, even though America is in the middle of an obesity crisis. I think that you should maybe add more videos about your topic to build on the information you've given the readers, but apart from that, good job!
    ps. I looove your background

  3. Cydy,
All of your posts are very interesting and provide a different perspective on American icons seeing as a hamburger is not a person, or even a famous building. I never fully realized how large of an impact the hamburger has had on American culture. I defiantly remember watching the movie Super Size me and being astounded by the impact food had on Morgan's life. Excellent posts and the hamburger video clips are really funny!
